"I met Marcel Salome in 1996 when I was preparing my book, The World of Michael Parkes. It consisted of over 100 color images that had to be corrected and also the overall layout design had to be created. I learned quickly to appreciate Marcel's creative, as well as technical skills. But it was not until 2001 when I received over 300 slides of my work that were of an inferior quality that I understood how good Marcel was at his job. These slides, which were used to prepare new posters in that year, had to be broken down, color by color, to recreate the balance that was originally there in the paintings. Some were out of focus, seriously degraded, and by most standards, unusable for professional purposes. With Marcel and me working together, we produced a line of posters of the highest standard. All of this work would have been lost if it had not been for Marcel's technical and artistic skills. To this date I have found no one working in the graphics media that understands so many various techniques and at such a high standard as Marcel's. Totally apart from his professionalism, his pricing and his ability to meet deadlines has allowed me to get on in creating my own art."
