HD Finish
HD Finish
HD Finish is the “Fine Art” variant of ChromaLuxe whereby each plate is selected for its quality. HD Finish is the result of a revolutionary, high-end process, which leaves the existing forms such as lambda prints, Plexiglas variants, epoxy and prints on dibond far behind.
You also get a 50-year guarantee on our product. HD Finish has an aluminum panel as its basis, which by means of heating technique – sublimation – is provided with waterproof inks that are absorbed into the top layer. The result of this process is a superior end product which is unparalleled. What makes HD Finish special is that it allows many variations in finishing. For one, we can provide the aluminum plates with various supports and have special powder-coated frames which give the whole product a luxurious look and thereby enrich your artwork.

HD Finish options
HD Finish has two types of image carriers, one has a “white” top layer as a base, the other is “brushed silver”. For both types you can choose from a shiny or matte version.
Aluminium suspension system
Our aluminum suspension systems are available in various thicknesses: 8, 15 and 25 mm. Our default choice is 25 mm.
Mounting on Forex
For an even more luxurious look you can decide to mount the HD Finish plate on Forex. You can choose from 3, 5 or 8 mm thick.

Suspended in frame

The properties of HD Finish
HD Finish has a 1.5-mm-thick aluminum plate as its basis with a white or aluminum substrate with a matt, satin or gloss top coating for the desired effect. Apart from the extensive color gamut, they are more scratch-resistant than Plexiglas products and resistant to moisture and aggressive cleaning agents. The plates can be glued onto a white or black PVC support of 3, 5 or 8 mm thick or they are mounted in our special EX-25 of EX-50 frames.
Lifespan
Re-Art has a reputation for its durable products with a long life span, which was one of the reasons to choose ChromaLuxe plates for HD Finish as a basis. The prominent ‘Wilhelm Research Imaging’ laboratory has evaluated the product for its durability and has guaranteed a minimum life span of 65 years. Manufacturers of inks on prints on dibond in their terms of delivery give a maximum guarantee of only 2 to 3 years!
Tailor-made creations
With Re-Art from Almere, in The Netherlands, we make everything according to your wishes, so that also goes for our HD Finish products. Every creation is tailor-made down to the millimeter and unlike other providers, we do not work with standard sizes that allow you no free choice. In addition, we can cut out the shapes you want for your product. You can turn to us for the maximum feasible size of 122 x 244 cm!
The process
After having checked your digital print and having optimized it for the process, we print with archival inks on special paper. It goes without saying that we do so by means of an Epson printer, which is attuned especially to this process. Epson still delivers the highest possible print resolution. After the ChromaLuxe plate has been sawn to size, it is inserted with the print into our big heat press and is heated to two hundred degrees Celsius under high pressure for some time. During this heating process the inks are gasified, as it were, and transferred to the top layer. After the print has cooled down, the plate can be finished as desired and can be fitted with a suspension profile or frame.
